Medicare Documentation Representative (1557) in Minneapolis, Minnesota

ActivStyle, a growing medical supply company in NE Minneapolis, is hiring for a Medicare Documentation Representative with experience working with Physicians and Medicare to work in our Reimbursement Department. This representative will be responsible for procuring accurate medical documents to justify coverage and meet documentation requirements for the medical supplies the company provides.   
 
Primary Responsibilities:
Obtain prescriptions and other necessary medical documents to ensure Medicare will pay for the patient?s medical supplies.
Assist the Medicare billing staff work development letters and located information required for reimbursement.
Contact Clinics, Physicians, and Patients to obtain documents.
Assist Patients inquiring about the status of their account.
Collect and review documents to make sure they meet State and Federal requirements.
Monitor status of documents and follow up as appropriate with urgency. 
Exceptional customer service skills and professional telephone etiquette.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to think critically and quickly in order to resolve issues as they arise.
Ability to collaborate and work well within a team and across the organization.
Ability to multi-task within several systems at one time.
Self-motivated and goal driven.
Detail oriented and organized.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Computer and typing skills necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent with some college courses in medical terminology or industry experience working in a related healthcare field.
Medicare DME or medical supply experience preferred.  
Excellent phone skills ? must be comfortable speaking with clinicians and patients.
